“If you’re upset about earlier, then I apologize. I could have been more considerate about my statements. If you’ve indeed decided to leave, let it not be on my account. I wish you safe travel if your mind is made up, though, and I will ask…”
“Would you leave if you were me, Ferdinand?”
“What?”
“If you were in my shoes, a girl who’s just trying to get by, hated by her sister, offered a job to work in the home of one of the most dangerous mafias in town with no clue as to whether or not she would even make it out unharmed, with no idea about what her life is about to become, would you leave?
