Chapter 42. Meetings

William’s POV

The meeting held about the takeover of the area the government had just opened up was nothing short of stressful. First, I had to fly all the way down there, leaving the comfort of my own home.

As though that was not enough, Nathaniel was the chairman of the meeting, so I couldn’t afford to show up late. Not like I was scared of him or anything. I just didn’t want to give him another chance to run his power on my face, at least while he still had it.

Now that Rose was about to get out of the way, I was sure that all I needed was the trust of the rest of the board members and then Lucien. And I would be able to take him down once and for all.

I arrived at the meeting venue on time, and by then, it had already commenced. I took a seat at the back of the hall and treated myself to some snacks. I looked around for Lucien and spotted him at the front, sitting very close to where Nathaniel was.
