Chapter 44. The Decision to Stay

Nathaniel’s POV

I was done with the gym. I had gone the extra mile today, working on the lower parts of my body as well as my abs region.

Kael had cheered me on all through my routine. I was glad he was there with me. He was a good sport and very funny. Every time I did a routine, he would scream with his tiny voice and make the guards smile.

Ferdinand had finally been able to get away to do some work after holding him all day. Kael was up to no good today. He wanted everyone’s attention. After my routine, I went back to the house to have my breakfast. Kael was taken upstairs to get ready for the day and have a change of diapers.

The food today was delicious. There were pork, sausages, eggs, porridge, rice, and so many types of sauces. When I decided to let Ferdinand hire male chefs to manage the kitchen, I wasn’t sure I’d be feeding properly in the house. But I haven’t had any regrets about Ferdinand’s decision since then.
