Elsie POV
I sat in the coffee shop, staring at nothing in particular. I wrapped both hands around the coffee cup, letting the warmth seep into my palm.
I inhaled deeply. I couldn’t get a proper sleep. All I could do was toss and turn in my bed. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw his face.
“Look who’s here” I looked up to see Alicia standing beside my table, an exaggerated look of surprise on her face. “I was just passing by the neighborhood then I saw you”
I raised a brow.
“Fine. You’re right. I tracked you down” she took a seat across from me.
“Why would you do that? I’m not in any danger”
