Chapter 11
“I didn’t mean it like that; you sounded like you know them, so I had to ask!” Tom said, and Hank laughed.
“I never knew my tone was misleading,” Hank said and walked a few steps away.
“Let’s head back, Sheriff; it’s time for our routine meeting,” Hank said and walked to his car.
Tom looked around once again and felt that it was so strange. He saw a camera, and now it’s gone. He had no choice but to head back to his car and drive straight to the station.
He walked in, and Dave approached him.
“He’s in the interrogation room!” Dave said and handed over a file to Tom. Tom opened it and went through it as he walked to the room.
He looked at the guy seated uncomfortably in the room, looking around as if he was about to be murdered.
“Thanks, Dave; I don’t want anyone around. This is personal,” Tom said, and Dave nodded, walking away instantly.
