Chapter 32. A Coincidence
At the same time, Richard was in his office and very busy with his work. Even so, he couldn’t stop thinking about what happened last night. Winona’s eyes turned pale, and her eyes were so scary. Richard knew Winona couldn’t be conscious when she transformed.
Richard also flashed back memories of white lights shining on Winona’s calves. Looking back, Richard was pretty sure it was probably scales. However, what creature’s scales could shine that much? Though he rarely encountered sea creatures, Richard knew what mermaids, nymphs, and sirens looked like. Nothing shone like that. It was like pearls and gems. From the books that Richard read last night, none of the creatures that were described had scales like pearls and shined. Richard sighed because he couldn’t concentrate on his work.
At the same time, he received a message coming to his cell phone. Richard frowned because it was from one werewolf whom he assigned to take care of Winona.
