Chapter 34. False Alert

After saying that, Richard immediately left the room and slammed the bedroom door very hard. Richard’s strength was so strong that the wall near the door cracked slightly. Winona was shaking from it. However, she immediately wiped away the tears that dripped down. She couldn’t be weak like this; even though Richard tried to intimidate her, she didn’t want to be a weak woman.

Winona steeled herself, trying to control the fear and tremors in her body. However, unfortunately, she suddenly burst into tears and could not be stopped anymore. Winona was crying because she was so hurt. Winona didn’t understand why Richard’s harsh treatment could hurt her so much now. She had never felt like this before. Maybe because she had felt something that should never have existed. Winona slapped herself so hard that her cheeks turned red.

“Stupid!” she said to herself.
