Chapter 24. Breathe
These breathing exercises never work for shit. Isabella’s opinion.
She was currently standing in front of a full length mirror, one hand holding her phone as her thumb scrolled through it.
She had searched through Google for the most effective ways to calm the feelings of nervousness. So far, nothing has worked.
She had the same feeling of her intestines twisting, and her stomach felt like a large stone was sunk to its bottom, and she was hot, regardless of the AC now on full blast.
“Come on, you can do this,” she dumped her phone on the bed, rubbing a hand down her dress. “It’s just a simple dinner with a perfectly normal family, no biggie,” Isabella tried consoling herself.
Perhaps, if she fed her brains with enough lies, then it’d be enough fuel to drive her through the night. Hopefully.
A soft knock sounded at the door, making her leave the front of the mirror, stretching to open the door.
