Chapter 25. Dinner Disaster
Isabella thought back to the moment when she realized her life had always been planned out for her. But try as she might, the answer never seemed to be specific.
Then she realized why.
Her life was never hers. It had always been marked out right from the moment she was born.
At first, it was easier to believe she once had a say. Like this one time in high school when she ran home with a letter from school requesting for her parents to sign, an indication of their consent on the school’s excursion.
They’d be taken to Paris for three days, where she’d learn more about the culture of the French people.
“Isn’t that awesome?” her bright eyes stared up at her parents. “Everyone in class is super pumped for this trip. I’d get to see Paris and actually learn more about them. It’d be so cool,” she squealed.
Her parents shared a look. “But honey, you’ve visited Paris before. With us, remember?”
She pouted. “I know. But it was mostly boring dinner part
