“Mr. Messer, what Jace said isn’t true, right?” Shawn’s disappointed tone made Kyler think about the past years. Kyler had heard Jace mention being kidnapped at the campsite, leading to Tom’s death.
Where was Kyler then? Kyler began to delve into his memories.
Yes, Kyler remembered. He was in charge of that mission. He recognized two ten-year-old kids collecting firewood and playing around. Everything should have gone smoothly until Tom stabbed one of the Lycans in the eye with a badge during a fight.
