Chapter 29. Battle Inside the Prison
“That’s not her! It’s a different person!” Madison’s shout echoed in prison and gathered everyone’s attention.
“No! That’s Clover!” defended Agatha.
Keeping Agatha’s assertions would mean she would still be alive. Seeing El Capitan’s stamina kept Agatha’s knees trembling in fear. She was frightened El Capitan would slash her throat and kill her in a snap if she lied, despite how it contradicts Madison and Unity League’s visions.
A silence rose in the room. El Capitan was too careful with his actions, discerning Madison and Agatha. The two had different claims, and it was tough to choose whom he preferred to believe. Was it on Madison’s side or Agatha’s? His other vampire members were only empirical, too, and were waiting for his decision.
“She’s lying! El Capitan! I grew up with her!!” Agatha shouted again, still keeping her claims and proving them to him. She then pointed to Clover’s sketch on a nearby table and added, “I have no time to lie with you, El Cap
