Chapter 8
Michail’s eyes widened as he immediately took a few steps back, the creature following his every move with narrowed eyes.
The stories about it were true, and it looked worse in person. It had the head of a lion, its glowing yellow eyes piercing through Michail’s soul. On its back was the head of a goat, its long horns of pitch-black color and orange eyes glaring at the mortal's scared ones. Its long neck stretched out as it stared at Michail, ready to pounce if he ever made the wrong move. A snake's head replaced the supposed tail of the creature, its slimy, scaly green skin glinting underneath the moonlight. Its red eyes narrowed at the small mortal, its tongue slithering, sputtering out the venomous liquid.
Michail gulped. In no way – in no other life, no other alternate universe, was he going to survive this.
