Chapter 11
Vincent smiled as he looked over the letter he had just finished writing. He marveled at his writing and how well he had drawled his words in ink. Now, it was time for the letter to go and meet its owner.
He called for one of the soldiers at the door. “Derrick!”
Derrick entered. “Yes, my lord?” he replied, kneeling.
Vincent stretched the letter to him. “Get this to any of the available messengers and tell them to get it to the Alpha of the Oak Pack.”
Derrick got the letter and nodded. “Yes, Your Highness.” Without another word, he left the courtroom.
Scott walked in, looking tired, and he slumped into the chair beside Vincent. Vincent stared at him, concern filling his expression. “How are you feeling, friend?”
“Bad,” Scott replied, groaning as he stretched his legs. “It’s not easy keeping watch the whole day when I barely slept a wink last night.”
“I am sorry I have to put you all through this. Maybe I will take the watch tomorrow.”
