Chapter 19

Jason rocked on his feet as a strong wave of pain hit him. He groaned, realizing the closer he was to Silver, the more the pain affected him. Never had he felt something like this. As an unmated male, he had never had to comfort a woman in the heat, and the female wolves always told them whenever their periods were on the way, so they always did well to stay away from the female quarters.

He wondered if they should have placed her in the female quarters instead of making her live alone there with her maid, but Nate didn’t want her mixing up with the females in the pack and getting friends among them. He had hoped she would be insanely bored and head back home sooner than she came.

Jason smiled to himself, amazed at Silver’s tenacity. He saluted her for still hanging around despite how much Nate tried to make her uncomfortable so she could leave. She was really a strong and stubborn woman, and he hoped the strength helped her endure whatever it was that she was going thro
