Chapter 34. Singled Out

I sat there, my body literally shaking because I knew what this meant. This meant that what I had seen in that dream and what I had heard when I had been locked in the room with the wolf were all real.

And the thought of it had me shaken. That meant that it had really been the Moon goddess talking to me. You have no idea what this meant.

“We need to do something, and whatever we decide to do, we need to do it fast,” the elder continued, murmurs rising in the crowd. 

Everyone seemed scared and worried. But again, who wouldn’t be?

“Who gave the prophecy?!” Someone in the crowd shouted the question.

“And how do we know it’s real?!” Another person shouted. “Yeah!” A few others joined them.

“Settle down, please,” the Elder replied calmly. “Settle down.” He was much firmer the second time. 

The noise died down and everyone listened carefully, and with respect.
