I honestly don’t know what her reaction would be, and that scared me.
“I know about dad.”
My mom scoffed and crossed her legs. “You don’t know a damn thing, Sara. So come on, tell me the truth. What is this really about? You want me to take you back? Do you want to move back in? Is that what you want?”
“Dad cheated on you with a witch, and that was how I was conceived. I’m not your flesh and blood, that’s why you hate me so much. I remind you of what you have been trying to forget for years,” I explained, ripping out the bandaid.
I watched her reaction. Her face slowly shifted to that of shock and sadness. “How—how did you know that?” Her voice was shaky and small. I could tell that she was really triggered.
But we needed to have the conversation.
“Does it matter?”
