I stared at her, my heart thumping in my chest. I was still trying to process her words; still trying to mentally chew on them.

“Are you listening to me? Sara, this is serious,” Beauty said to me. The bruises on her face were still evident, but they were fading a bit now.

I nodded. “Yeah, I hear you. I just—how am I supposed to escape when I already signed the contract.”
