“Are you listening to me? Sara, this is serious,” Beauty said to me. The bruises on her face were still evident, but they were fading a bit now.
I nodded. “Yeah, I hear you. I just—how am I supposed to escape when I already signed the contract.”
“Come with me,” she replied without missing a beat, reaching for my hands and holding them in hers. We can start fresh. We won’t have to suffer. We can start over.”
“I don’t know about that, Beauty. My entire life is here.”
“Are you sure about that? What do you have here? You’ve been kicked out of school, you stay at the Omega house, and let’s not forget that your mom kicked you out and hates you.”
