Chapter 33. The Pack’s Meeting

The car ride was quiet, but Giveon would steal glances at me after every few minutes. Both of us were in our minds, keeping our mouths shut.

I didn’t have a good feeling about him taking me where omegas weren’t allowed. We were headed to the Elders Chamber and it was sacred. 

Years ago, everyone was allowed there, as long as they were invited or brought by someone important or powerful. 

But now, these days, things are much different.

No omegas were allowed, and if anyone who was not invited or brought by someone else who had already been invited, showed up, they would be punished. 

The punishment was not specific, and for that reason, I think it was even scarier, because that meant they could do anything that they wanted to do to you and get away with it. 

Yeah, our pack was kind of messed up. But yeah, that was how things were in this godforsaken town.
