Chapter 43. Wild Emotions

I stayed in the room for a few minutes before finally walking out. I was a bit hungry but at the same time, I didn’t really have much appetite.

The words of the girl kept playing in my head. She had given me another chance to take her money and leave, so I could live the life that I have always wanted. 

And this time, I could be more careful and make sure that Giveon doesn’t find out. This was a second chance, but this time, it was more complicated because of the fact that I had a responsibility of being a damn hero; something that I didn’t sign up for.

I wanted to believe that Giveon maybe truly liked me and wanted to be with me, but I could not get over the fact that Maddie and his friends have all said that it was just an obsession.

Could it really be that? An obsession?

If anything, they knew him more than I knew him. I had only known him for a few days to a week; not even a month yet. So if anything, I think his friends might be right about him.
