Chapter 47. Another Meeting

We were now out of the guy’s car, and my heart was heavy. But that was not new, I was kind of used to it. The only difference this time was that I had the weight of the entire pack on my shoulders.

“Why did you bring me here?” I asked Kevin, staring at him as he was texting someone on his phone.

He looked up for a quick second before looking back at his device in his hand. “Giveon asked me to bring you here. He was trying to get to you but we didn’t have much reception at where we’re coming from. So he texted me and asked if I could find you and get you here.”

“If there was no reception and I couldn’t get your call, then how did you get his text?”

He finally stopped texting and put his phone in his pocket. “I didn’t have reception either, Sara. It was when I was driving us back that I hit his messages.” He shrugge
