Chapter 51. The Border

It was night and the moon was hidden behind thin white clouds. I was still waiting, my anxiety getting worse with each passing minute.

Was I prepared for this trip out of town for the first time? Absolutely not. I didn’t want to be here, I wanted to go home.

I wanted to be under a duvet, worrying about simple things, and not about having to save my whole pack and town.

The pressure was too much, I was just a broke omega. A hybrid too, I guess.

I sighed, running my hand through my hair before I finally saw a car coming my way. I wasn’t sure if it was the one that was supposed to take me to the border because a few others had passed in the last hour or less.
