Chapter 3
Adelaide's POV
"And what kind of game is it, rogue?" When he realized I was playing with him, Phillip let out an irate cry.
"Are you prepared, Ruby?" As I got ready to jump from the treetops and start the game, I inquired.
"I was born prepared," she exclaimed in response.
"Now let's get started. The game in question is the pursuit game." As I jump down, I yell out to the group, "Catch me if you can, boys." Before they could realize what was going on, I turn and flee. As they came after me, I could hear the frustration in their voices.
"Stop her from leaving. Follow her, you morons." As they try to catch up with me, I giggle uncontrollably. I would quickly lose them because I had already gained the upper hand. I dodge the guards as I soar through the trees. What excited me was the excitement of the pursuit. The goal was to see how near they could come before I made a move and lost them.
