Adelaide's POV

When Denzel had finally relaxed, Dr. Cynthia went on, "Your heart and brain scans came back normal. Your blood test is an entirely different matter. You appear to have some traces of silver and wolfsbane in your blood. I would like to know how it got there. There is not much in your system, and it should go away in the upcoming month." She said something that shocked me. I assumed that by now, all of the silver and wolfsbane would have been removed from my system.

"The rogues would ward off our wolves with wolfsbane and silver. They wanted no one to try to go against them or gain the upper hand. Each week, we would receive a dose." I remarked, glancing down at my hands, "It was always enough to last through the week and keep us at bay." Denzel shook his head next to me. His eyes had turned black, and I could see Yates was the one in charge.
