Chapter 110. It’s a Girl
Aaron POV
I glanced at Joan as I turned into the next street. She was staring out the window, her mind clearly elsewhere.
Knowing her, she was probably overthinking something. The small bobs of her legs told me she was nervous.
The ultrasound appointment was today. It was still a bit early to check the gender, but the doctor said it was possible even though she was just four months along.
I placed my hand on her thigh, and she flinched slightly. My jaw tightened as I stared at the road, her eyes flicking toward me.
“What are you thinking about?” I asked.
She shook her head and she pressed her lips together.
Her hair was pulled into a ponytail, a little pendant rested on her neck, and she wore a soft sundress.
I knew that look.
“Are you nervous?” I asked.
She hesitated, then nodded.
“I’m nervous and a little scared,” she said.
That caught me off guard.
“Scared? Why?”
