Chapter 22. Note to Parents

Maureen's POV

I paced the hospital corridor unable to sit down. I found it difficult to believe that Lucia would want to kill herself. She was the type that loved life. Or so I thought! 

Dominus had not waited for a stretcher to be brought out to take her into the hospital. He had taken her in while shouting like a mad man.

I was beyond distraught. The doctors had taken her from us and as I paced I wondered what could be happening behind the closed door. It had been over forty five minutes since they closed the door.

I was alone, waiting for any news at all. After the doctor had done their best to stop Dominus from following them in, Dominus had stormed out of the hospital while Lance had gone to try to get in contact with Lucia's parents. 

'Hey, any news?' Lance asked coming to stand next to me.
