Chapter 13. Grocery
Roy had persistently offered to accompany me on our grocery shopping trip, but I had been trying to dissuade him for a while now. It was getting late, and I had run out of ingredients to cook with at home. Supplies were depleted, so I decided it was high time to head to the grocery store, especially since Roy wasn't a fan of vegetables and had a reputation for being quite selective in his food choices.
Grocery shopping was essential because Auntie Anne might drop by, and if there wasn't any delicious food readily available, she would certainly make a fuss. She had a tendency to become irate if the house wasn't in order, and I was confident that anyone else in her place wouldn't be pleased either.
Nonetheless, this was my responsibility, my duty, and there was no one else but me to handle it. I was on my own in this endeavor.
