Chapter 14. Necklace
I heard him shout my name from behind, "Ina, wait! Hey, wait!"
Ignoring his voice, I proceeded into the supermarket and began placing the items on the counter. After a while, Roy caught up with me. I didn't pay much attention to him and continued grabbing the items from the shopping list.
"Are you mad?" he asked.
"Is it that obvious?" I replied sarcastically, unable to stop myself.
"I'm sorry," he chuckled.
I took a deep breath, turned away from him, and pushed the cart to get the remaining items from that section. Throughout our shopping, he kept apologizing, making me feel embarrassed by the attention we were drawing due to his antics.
"I'll push the cart," he offered and quickly went over to the carts holding his purchases and the groceries.
"I'll manage it. You can push your own cart," I insisted, even though it wasn't even supposed to be on a cart. The cashier didn't comment either way. Roy just grinned and moved aside, taking charge of
