“Beep beep beep,” the alarm rang repeatedly.
Layla woke up to the unbearable noise. As she switched off the alarm, she saw a message from Mr. Joseph Lockwood letting her know that she had to be at the Lockwood Mansion to make her relationship with Jack public.
“These rich people do like to put their names in everything,” she snorted.
“This is going to be a busy week. I went from being unemployed to getting married to the man who fired me,” she sighed as she stood up to have her bath.
It was almost eleven in the morning when Layla arrived at the Lockwood mansion with a car ordered by Mr. Joseph Lockwood. The gate opened, and she saw the mansion, and it was a stunning sight to behold. Trees encircled the mansion, a majestic sight that added an exquisite charm to the estate.
