Chapter 28. Unexpected Visitor

It is the following day, and the house is noticeably different, she’s not here.
Linda left yesterday, and to be honest, I never thought it would hurt me as much as it did when I saw her walk away to board the plane.
It has only been a couple of hours, and I already miss her so much.
I have taken a shower, and I am ready to go to work. I know I should have breakfast, but I have no appetite, so I will head out.
“Good morning, sir,” Sergio greets me as I approach the car.
Seeing him reminds me of yesterday when Linda’s brother made us all yell about our favorite food. Thinking about it makes me chuckle to myself as if I am a madman.
“Good morning, Sergio,” I reply to him, and he offers to drive me to work, but I decline.
I think it would feel better for me to be alone while I drive to work this morning.
