Chapter 100. Bracelet
Madison’s POV
“This can’t continue, I need to get a healing herb for you.” I told the woman, and I was about to rise to my feet when the woman’s weak hand grabbed my arm.
Her palm was calloused and rough, and it irritated my skin, but I did not say any word and just stared at her with faint concern.
Even though she seemed weak, her hold was so strong that I could not even struggle free forcefully if I wanted to.
“Ma’am, you can’t remain here. It’s either I get you a herb to help you or I take you away from here and to the pack’s infirmary to see if they help you.” I told her, gently reaching out to help her up.
But the woman did not move an inch, and I could not force her.
“Ma’am?” I called out in confusion, and the woman coughed incessantly for a while, prompting me to pat her back in order to calm her down.
I quickly checked her pulse and noticed how weak it was, it was almost non-existent.
