Raymond’s POV
I had always prided myself on my level of self-control and unwavering composure, but now, I could only facepalm myself in self-approach.
How could I have reacted in such a manner? Moreover, I had shown a different side of myself to Madison, a side I would rather not have her see, at least, not for now.
But now, what would she think of me? Wouldn’t she see me as a beast and a selfish, temperamental bastard?
It was clear that she was merely trying to get familiarized with her new environment, but I allowed my jealousy to take control of me, clouding my thoughts.
Moreover, she wasn’t just conversing with the guards, but the maid as well. I failed, however, to see that.
A sigh escaped my lips for the nth time and I made my way towards my study room through the brightly lit corridors.
