Chapter 32
Serena POV
“Hello?” I said nervously, with my voice a little above a whisper.
“It’s Davies,” came the reply. “I’m at your door.”
Relief immediately washed into my veins, and I was out of the bathroom immediately heading for the door. A little while later, I pulled the door open and was glad to see him.
“Thank God you came.” I gasped. “They were…” I looked across the street, but there was no one in sight. “They’re gone!”
I looked up and down the street, but there was no sign of any bikers close by.
“I already did a little sweep when I got here.” The officer spoke up. “There’s no one stalking around your house, miss.”
This was exactly what I didn’t want, to be called crazy.
“But they’ve been stalking me! They were certainly following me on my way back home! They…”
“Calm down, Miss.” The officer cut me off. “I believe you. I’m just saying, at the moment, there seems to be no one in sight.”
