Chapter 36. Samuel’s Regret
“Stop acting like this, Samuel!” snarled Emily angrily as she pulled the cigarette from Samuel’s lips, then threw and stomped it on the floor until it went out.
Samuel, meanwhile, could only stare flatly at his crushed cigarette on the floor, then shrugged his shoulders lightly. He acted indifferent and casually took out a new cigarette from his cigarette case.
He had not yet lit the cigarette, but it had already been snatched away by Emily. This time Emily stepped on a pack of cigarettes.
“Mama!” snapped Samuel, getting annoyed. He even dared to glare at his mother.
“How long do you want to be a loser like this? It’s been 10 years, Sam… It’s been ten years. Aleah may be happy with her new life, but why have you become such a miserable person?
