Chapter 35. I Can’t Like Young Men

One month after Aleah’s outright rejection of Rafael, she had not received a single message from him.

“As I expected, a man as young as him, especially with his job as a hired man, would approach me just for entertainment. He’s just trying to mess with me,” Aleah muttered, sneering at her cell phone, which showed 25 unread text messages from Rafael.

With quick steps, Aleah left and hurried into the elevator.

“This time I don’t want to eat at the office cafeteria. I want to go to a Japanese restaurant instead. I think buying chicken karaage is the right thing to do,” she muttered.

She exited the elevator shortly after, then was surprised by the presence of Rafael who was already sitting sweetly in the lobby of her office.
