Chapter 17
Dad ran between his friend and Elijah, who was already on the verge of attacking.
“Hey, calm down,” said Dad as he tried to also pacify Elijah. “Cool too, son,” Dad said to him.
Immediately, Elijah went crazy. He went over to Dad and warned him not to ever call him son. Dad was dumbfounded by his behavior. However, Adam just approached the whole situation by maneuvering Dad’s hand, and he forcefully grabbed Elijah by his hand, his claws scratching his skin.
“You’re so stubborn. I know what I do with stubborn boys just like you—outcasts,” Adam pushed Elijah to the ground. He fell, hitting his head on the engraved plate of Adolfo Barrington.
“Aww! You should say hi to your forefathers,” Adam said again as he went after him. He put forth his hand to hold Elijah, when Dad walked between them again and pushed him away from moving any further.
“Calm down, Adam. We’ve gotten what we wanted. Can we go back now?” Adam said, his eyes looking at everyone who stood
