Chapter 7
Following the morning hours, Mom had woken me up early. My bags were already packed, and the only thing left was for me to get ready and leave for my new academy.
At the breakfast table, Mom had prepared my favorite meal, showing her love toward me. Her decision to prepare all my favorites felt like a way of sending me off to the academy.
“Baby, eat up, and let’s go,” said Dad as he rushed his food. I turned to my plate, carrying my spoon and swallowing each grain of rice prepared by Mom. It felt so dry that I had to request a glass of juice.
The rice wasn’t the problem; it was the fact that I was leaving that troubled my mind. I was not too excited to go.
After literally forcing myself, I emptied my plate. Mom and Dad had my bags taken to the car, and I went back to my bedroom to grab my phone.
