Ezra POV
“Forgive her,” my wolf urged.
I’d been standoffish since the border incident. She stood by me the entire time at Noah’s farewell ceremony, but I didn’t say anything. Her warm body snuggled beside me. I wanted her so badly, but I was an idiot and didn’t want to smooth things over.
A part of me was just jealous and pissed that I lost my friend. I had a lot hanging over my shoulders. My brother was in the wind, and my other brother threatened everything I loved. I worked extremely hard to make this Pack what it was. Whispering Hollow was one of the largest and most feared Packs. Dimitri had no right to come in a take that from me.
While the fire blazed with my friend’s body in the centre, I promised to avenge his death.
We drove home in silence. I thought she fell asleep when I parked in front of the mansion.
