Chapter 6
I woke up to the sounds of someone cooking, I tossed and turned several times as I didn’t want to wake up. I wanted to keep sleeping for the simple fact that I couldn’t see Max’s face. I didn’t understand his last words last night, but they reminded me of a lot of words James used to say to me a long time ago; I had spent most of the night remembering old times that would never come back. He was my one and only mate, my forever love, at least for me.
Even though he has hurt and wounded me in the worst ways.

“Wake up, today you are going to meet the whole pack.” Alex came into my room, opening the curtains so that the morning light would wake me up, according to him, according to my thoughts, and my snarling wolf was to blind me. I growled loudly as I pulled the blanket I had slept in over me.” It’s no good to keep them waiting.
