Chapter 106. Green Eyed

Melvin sat in his car, waiting at the car park for Elaine to return. He’d visited her office but she was on a lunch break. A silly break.

Did she know how much she had scared him when she had asked for a certificate? He had started to think of their marriage certificate.

He had made no plans regarding their marriage except asking Annette to schedule a court date. Annette had then plainly told him that she no longer worked for him and that she now only worked for Andrew. She sent him to Jules. He didn’t like the man and the man knew it.

But all of that would end today. If they could get married today, he would stop thinking about it.

His phone vibrated in his pocket. It had to be Andrew again. He had half a mind to tell his brother off. He wasn’t interested in listening to sermons on how to be a successful high value man.
