Chapter 65. Andrew’s Feelings
The words hit Andrew like someone had grabbed him by the legs and held him over Niagara falls before letting him fall into the water. But he had learnt a long time ago to keep his feelings in check. It always got him in trouble.
He slipped his hands into the silky colored coffee cream pocket on his jacket and brought out his phone, pointing the camera at his grandfather’s ring on her hand. “Then I hope you wouldn’t mind me taking a picture and posting it?”
“Certainly not.” She grabbed Melvin’s hand in a way that left the offensive ring glittering under the rays of the sunlight that streamed in from the large window pane, on her left, overlooking the city. “Take enough pictures. I want you to remember this day.”
He took several pictures. What game was she playing? She knew that he would resist this marriage with everything he had, even if it meant losing his position at the helm of his family.
