Chapter 21. Apologies

Zeke POV

The doctor is visiting Elara and we have been banned from upstairs until he leaves. Mom is in the room with her to make sure she remains safe.

My brothers and I are huddled around the computer screen, watching the footage from Dad’s office. Dr. Davis’s back was to the camera, but we can see the fear and apprehension on Elara’s face during the whole session. She should have never been left alone with that man. We all made a mistake.

“Fast forward to the part where she kicks him in the nuts,” Zane chuckles.

I oblige, but I am not happy about it. Zane watches closely as Elara kicks the doctor in the nuts, and he begins to laugh loudly. “He was not expecting that,” he says loudly.

“Do you not understand the severity of the situation?” I snap at him. “He was altering her memories.”

“How is that possible?” Zeus asks. “He is not a white wolf. He shouldn’t have powers.”
