Chapter 126. Sweaty

Before letting sleep take her away, she pulled out her phone to check the notifications she had been getting when she had been talking to Vanessa. And yeah, she was right, it had been Jacob. 

*Yeah, sure. Tomorrow sounds good. How are you though?* The text read. 

Maddie pulled up the keyboard and started typing. *I’m going to be okay. But I wanted to tell you that I recruited help to get Nate to reject me. I got Vanessa to help and she might be with me tomorrow when we meet up.*

It was really late and she did not expect a reply, so she just placed her phone next to the bedlamp and relaxed on the bed, pulling the duvet over half of her body. It felt so strange and even though everything was perfect on the bed, she still felt out of place and uncomfortable. 

She did not believe it was a matter of how perfect the bed was but about what was going on in her mind. She closed her eyes nevertheless, she needed to sleep. It was going to be a heck of a day tomo
