Lacey had finished her lectures for the day and was heading to the coffee shop when she heard Cat yelling her name from a distance. Lacey stopped and glanced over her shoulder at Cat running toward her, waving her hand in the air.
Cat finally caught up with Lacey. She stopped, placing her palm on Lacey’s shoulder, and bent to catch her breath. “Phew—that was a long chase,” she said, brushing back her hair. “So tell me, what’s your plan for the weekend? Any Mr. Nasty Hottie to crash the weekend with?”
Lacey smirked but continued toward the coffee shop. She didn’t like discussing her relationship life with anyone. “Let’s not get into that.”
Cat snorted. “Well, I’m still crushing on Alex,” she said. “I can’t wait to be in his arms.”
