Chapter 54. No Screwing Around

ALEX’S MANSION

“No kissing until we’re done with the investigation,” Lacey smirked. Alex wanted to kiss her, but she dodged it. She had a promise to keep and not get distracted. “Cool. But it’s going to be more than just a kiss after we are done.”

As always, Alex was able to pull the footage from the surveillance cameras where the robbery went down. The van the robbers came with had no registration number, but he had to follow them up to the very place they dropped off by switching into several traffic cameras and nearby ATM cameras. Because of his demands for a kiss, he almost passed his car in the car lot. He smirked in a silly way, rolling his eyes on Lacey. “You see, I need a tongue injection to think straight.”

“Alright, come here,” Lacey gestured for him. She threw her hands around his shoulders and kissed him passionately. “That will do,” she whispered.
