“Lucien!” Cecil grinned wide as he neared their table. “Wasn’t expecting to see you here.”

Lucien stood to greet him with a brief handshake. “Neither was I.”

“I was damn sure you’d be here with your PA or something, like always, but you’re always surprising, aren’t you?” Cecil asked with a knowing tone. Then his eyes slid to Anna, who was dabbing her lips with her napkin, still chewing quietly.

“Are you going to introduce her to me, or is she just for your night?” he asked again, a glint of interest surfacing.

Lucien sighed softly. He could stab him in the throat. “Anna,” he called her attention. “This here is Cecil, a good friend. Cecil, Anna.”
