Chapter 34. The Search
“I have to warn you. You’re walking into dangerous territory,” Bob’s voice resounded in his head.
“I know,” Alexander replied, just like every other answer he had given in the past fifteen minutes.
Bob sighed in frustration. “Take the second turn,” he instructed.
An entire team was waiting at his beck and call, tracking his every movement while leading him to the man of the hour.
Jane and Dave had called him more than a hundred times, literally speaking, which made him certain that they were more worried about his death than he was.
“I can’t believe I let you do this.”
Alexander imagined Bob pacing restlessly around the room while muttering under his breath.
“Why is everyone so worried?” he questioned.
“Because we really aren’t so keen on seeing you dead.”
“I won’t die,” Alexander felt a growing smirk. “Or maybe I will.”
