Chapter 31. Uncomfortable Feeling
Chantel Raven
The feeling is making me uncomfortable, and Damon's words are ringing through my head.
"Lexcis, please get off."
I keep shoving him aside, but it isn't working. So I give up. Rather quickly, but trying to push him is only hurting me. He's heavy.
Each time I try to push him away, he clings on even tighter. It's hurting me, and that's why I stop.
The uncomfortable feeling returns, and breathing becomes difficult. I close my eyes and take slow breaths, trying to find calmness.
"You're okay. You're okay. You're okay," I repeat those words to myself, a mantra to soothe the rising anxiety. After a short five minutes, I start to calm down—well, at least in that aspect.
My hand, tired from the failed attempts to free myself, rests on his shoulder. I'm too exhausted to keep fighting him. Can I endure this for just one night? Maybe. It's alright. I'll tolerate it
