Amelia’s POV

“There is no way on earth I am going to approve that, you know that right.” I said to Marcus angrily. He was seated before me in my office and seemed very irritated by the fact that our deal with Nolan only meant he couldn’t withdraw money from the project funds without my permission.

That simply means his family’s plan to embezzle the money and settle for a mediocre project was about to get difficult. I knew what they were up to, Ric had given me the heads up about it. The Wrights wanted an opportunity to direct the funds into their crumbling financial institution and Nolan’s project was the only project that could provide them with the amount of money they needed.

“What do you mean? We need funds to start the project or would you prefer I….”

“Get the receipts of every single item you need or better still I would send one of our staff with you with the company’s card so that everything can be paid for right where you’re buying the items.”
