Chapter 78. A Cold Shower

My eyes fluttered open as I woke up. My mind was enough at first, but then everything started to come back. 

Memories, and how I had shifted into my wolf for the first time. It all came back. My heart started to thump in my chest, but then a voice spoke that immediately made me feel better.

It was Giveon. “Are you okay? How do you feel?”

I sat up and realized that I was in the backseat, my seatbelt on too. “Yeah, I just—“

“Congratulations, you shifted not your wolf for the first time.” He flashed me a smile before looking back at the road. 

“Yeah…” I hooked some of my hair behind my ears as I adjusted myself in the seat. “I don’t know how it happened, it just—“

“I think it was the right time. Your wolf was ready, and so were you.”

“Mm-hmm,” I replied, clearing my throat. It was so dry, and I was very thirsty but I needed to ask him something. “Um…when I shifted, you were saying something about my wolf…”

“Oh yeah,” He said in a breat
