Chapter 236. The Runner's Rush
I kept running, letting my thoughts dissolve with every step. It reminded me of something Forrest Gump once said: “That day, for no particular reason, I decided to go for a little run.” Unlike him, I had every reason in the world, but just like him, running gave me that sense of freedom, that escape from the chaos in my life.
As I continued, I could not help but feel the weight of the situation begin to lift, even if only temporarily. The decision of whether to tell Mark everything or stay silent was heavy on me.
It was like standing at the edge of a cliff, unsure if I should jump or step back. And wasn’t that what life was? A series of moments where you had to decide which way to lean?
I hated moments like this because I knew myself to be a very indecisive person. So yeah, I hated to be pushed against the wall to make a decision.
